Limitless is an AI meeting-memory tool built around the Pendant, a clip-on wearable that records your conversations and turns them into searchable transcripts, summaries, and action items. The hardware is genuinely well made — magnetic clip, all-day battery, nearly invisible on a dark shirt — and the Limitless app's recall of "what did she say about the deadline?" moments is the closest thing to a working memory prosthetic we've seen in 2026.
The asterisk is existential. Meta acquired Limitless in December 2025, ended Pendant sales, and committed to supporting existing devices for about a year while it folds the technology into its own wearables. Current owners were moved to a free unlimited plan — a real perk — but desktop and web recording were discontinued, and users in the EU, UK, and several other regions lost access entirely.
If you already own a Pendant, enjoy the free ride and export your data habitually. If you don't, buying into a discontinued device makes little sense; wait and see what Meta ships next.
